Tomorrow is the first day of Fall. Where has the Summer gone?! We are sad that Summer is coming to an end but we are so stoked about the rich scents, flavors, and colors of Autumn. Who wouldn’t be? We love the transition into crisp weather, layered clothing, and old routines. It is the time of year for autumn veggies, yummy spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, and hot soup instead of cold salads. Here are some of our favorite healthy recipes for Fall:
Apples and cinnamon are a staple for Autumn. Bonus points if you pick the apples yourself!
The sangria doesn’t have to end with Summer. Patio season is still on for a short while! The second sangria recipe in this article just screams Fall! (yeah– more apples and cinnamon)
These warm meatloaf muffins are great for chillier days. We had them with sweet potato, but any Autumn veg will do!
Use up those Summer bananas with this delicious breakfast cookie recipe. Why not start and end your day with the sweet and comforting taste of cinnamon and nutmeg? (you’re probably starting to see a trend here…)
Swap the yogurt for oatmeal and sprinkle this delicious granola on top for a warm, nutty breakfast that will satisfy all of your cravings and keep you full until lunch.
We know this is technically called a ‘Winter Salad’ but we think it is definitely acceptable during the Fall as well. Have fun with this recipe and try roasting multiple varieties of squash instead of just one!
The best thing about Autumn is visiting the farm during harvest season. The above recipe features amazing September farm-fresh ingredients you are sure to love.
What is your favorite fall meal? Missing from this list is one of my faves that I’ve yet to master: butternut squash soup. If you have a recipe for it, link it below or email it to me, I’d be so grateful!
