Hey world!
I’ve been missing in action from the blog scene since our media shoot in Newfoundland about a month ago. I just wanted to give you a quick update on all of the exciting adventures that are on the way. I’ve been busy planning an incredible 6.5 week backpacking trip through South East Asia & Australia.
Long story short, I’ve spent the last week stuffing my life into a 33L backpack that I will be living out of for the next month and a half. The travel bug bit me at a young age and I’ve been itching for another adventure since I got back from my last trip. This is the biggest trip I’ve tackled to date and includes some super long flights (15.5 hours come at me). Regardless, I’m practically bursting with excitement. The whole trip didn’t feel real for a while but as my departure draws near– I’m bubbling!
Since I was a little girl, I’ve wanted to see the world. I want to experience cultures that are completely different from my own, try new foods, and share stories with the locals. I’m not looking for that so-called “vacation”. I want to immerse myself in the culture and learn as much as I possibly can. I’m so intrigued by people and the different perspectives that circle this globe. Our world is so vast, diverse and unique – I want to experience everything.
My family and friends know me well enough that this trip didn’t come as much of a surprise. It was more of an “Oh, where’s she going this time?” (maybe with a slight eye roll haha). But the truth is I could not have a more supportive and loving group of humans encouraging me to go and experience something new. I’m so grateful for all of the people in my life who love me so deeply. Don’t worry– I’ll be fine. I promise.
With stops in 5 different countries, I’m so excited to share parts of my journey with you. And although I couldn’t quite fit everything in my pack– the camera and journal most definitely made the cut. Stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook pages for photos and updates.
