Summer is just around the corner, which means it will soon be the season for barbeques, patios drinks, and beach days. Who’s excited?! I sure am. We love sangria as the official alcoholic beverage of the summer season because it is light, sweet, and fruity. Keep scrolling for three delicious and easy sangria recipes. Grab your pitcher and your cutest glasses!
Wildberry Sangria
This delicious red wine sangria is made by combining a bottle of cabernet sauvignon with one litre of a mixed berry drink of your choice. I used the Alive brand mixed berry vodka beverage as it is gluten-free and sugar conscious. Throw in ice cubes and fresh or frozen raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries.
Rosé Lemonade Sangria
Fill your pitcher with ice, sliced lemons, and strawberry halves. Pour in a bottle of rosé moscato (or plain rosé if you don’t want the fizz!) and a bottle of lemonade. That’s it! Enjoy!
Harvest Apple Cider Sangria
So, this one may sound more Autumn-oriented, but I promise it is the perfect refreshing drink for a hot Summer day. Combine one bottle of pinot grigio or chardonnay, whichever you prefer, with one litre of the cider of your choice. I love Growers Stone Fruit Ciders or No Boats on Sunday for this recipe. Finally, pour in two cups of apple juice, a sliced apple, and a sliced pear. Garnish with some cinnamon sticks!
We hope these sangria recipes find their way into evenings with friends, family, and laughter. Have a great Spring/Summer season everyone!
